History

Guest house Skulte Manor is one of the baroque ensemble buildings of former Skulte Manor, it is a cultural and historical object.

In 1739, burgomaster of Riga Johann von Schultzen built the first complex of baroque-styled buildings in Vidzeme to become a landlord. Former Skulte Manor ensemble consisted of manor house, barn, stable, granary, coach-house, buildings for farmhands, family and steward. Manor house was destroyed in 1910. In Soviet times, a dairy was established in the steward’s house, but in other buildings – machine-shops and a mill.
